Yoichi Seki

I am a Professor Emeritus of the Gunma University. I had retired on March 31, 2025 from Faculty of Informatics, and Division of Electronics and Informatics of Gunma unversity. I have been in Gunma since April 1990. I received the B.Sci. degrees from the Department of Mathematics, M.Eng. and Ph.D. degrees from the Department of Industrial & Management Systems Engineering, the Waseda University.

Research Interests

• Applied Statistics and Statistical Models
  1. Data Mining :
     Development and application of statistical method for large scale data.
  2. Statistical Learning Theory:
     Tree model (CART), Generalized Linear Model and so on. Criterion of model selection, for example, MDL, AIC, and so on.
  3. Applied Data Analysis :
     Development and application of statistical method for Statistical Quality Control, Monitoring data, Rating data, and so on.
